PLANNED GIVING - WILLS / ESTATES

The power and strength of planned giving continues to aid in operations, planning, and the overall level of care at MHCO.  Those that have named MHCO in their wills and estates may desire a plaque, a trust in perpetuity, or simply a calm in knowing that the assets they have worked so hard to achieve throughout their lifetime will be put to good use, caring for children.  These lifetime legacies are the essence of the success and survival of our charity.

The importance of planned giving can be witnessed quantitatively in their financial impact.  Annually an average of over 40% of the total donation revenue comes via wills and estates.  This does not include earnings and interest donated annually as part of planned gifts from the past which average another 20%.  With over 65% of the annual donation revenue generated from these sources, the importance of legacies, written by supporters today, cannot be underestimated for the future of this Home.
